Digital Marketing Executive (Maternity Cover)

Rate of Pay: £27,000
Hours:Full-time (35 hours p/wk). 1 year contract.
Location:NRAS, Beechwood Suite 3, Grove Park Industrial Estate, White Waltham, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 3LW, flexible working will be an option.
Reporting to: Digital Marketing Manager

We’re a leading health charity in the field of rheumatology based in Maidenhead, Berkshire seeking a Digital Marketing Executive to join our team to help create and grow our online and digital presence. The individual must be proactive in their learning and be able to take initiative with their duties. 

Please note: Candidates applying for this role are not required to have pre-existing knowledge of RA or JIA to be eligible for this role. Full training will be provided during induction.

Key Responsibilites

  • Creating and publishing our social media posts across Facebook, X, Instagram LinkedIn and HealthUnlocked (free public health forum). 
  • Managing and scheduling all social media enquiries, captions and artwork. 
  • Generating ideas for social media posts. 
  • Assist in promotional content surrounding services, fundraising and monthly volunteer events via social media. 
  • Interacting with social media followers and alerting other colleagues as appropriate to respond to posts if required. 
  • Assisting the Digital Marketing Manager in gathering stats for social media and website performance as requested. 
  • Copywriting for both internal blog posts, website content and social media. 
  • Assist when able with the creation of new print materials including posters, leaflets, flyers, etc.

Essential Skills

  • 1-2 years experience in using Adobe Creative Suite (or similar), particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • 1-2 years of Social Media Management experience.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated, innovative and flexible.
  • Team player but also be able to work on own initiative.
  • Keen interest in digital marketing.
  • Basic copywriting skills.

Preferred (but not essential)

  • Knowledge of website CMS (WordPress or similar).
  • Basic video editing skills (Adobe/Canva or similar).
  • Knowledge of Meta Business Suite and Ads Manager for paid social media ads.
  • Experience with printed marketing campaigns.
