After being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 30 and finding a severe lack of support for the RA community, Ailsa founded NRAS in 2001. Having lead the charity for 18 years, she stepped down as CEO and became our National Patient Champion and now regularly appears at conferences and presents to rheumatology teams about our key services.
