Today NRAS is asking for your help

At NRAS, we’re committed to providing much-needed support, information and advocacy for all those living with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA).

With your help, fewer people will go through the confusion, fear and stress of trying to navigate their RA diagnosis on their own.

Every 20 minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with RA.

It only costs £34.00 to ensure someone will get the vital information and guidance they need from a helpline call at a time of crisis and every step of the way with their RA.

“After several years of investigations and misdiagnoses, I was finally diagnosed with RA in 2011. My pain was increasing and spreading through my body as time went on, even though I was working through a never-ending list of medications and having injections in my feet, hands, knees and back.

I couldn’t stand or walk for days, do any household chores, or sleep because of the excruciating pain at night from flare-ups.

At one of my hospital appointments, the rheumatology team advised me to wean off the steroids I was taking as it may be masking the severity of the disease. As expected, this made me even more unwell. I was too unwell to go to work and I became really low, scared that the life I had known would never be the same again.”

You can make a real difference with your donation to reduce feelings of isolation, fear and confusion for people like Hayley. NRAS can support people to live life with RA without limits.

“It wasn’t until months after my RA was getting better that I came across NRAS. I really wish I had found the charity sooner, as I finally felt I had found a source of information that I could trust. I was able to find clear and concise details of the medication I was taking, and recently I joined NRAS’ online webinars which have been really helpful.

The more work NRAS can do and the bigger the reach, the more support and information can get to the people that really need it.

“I’m so thankful to have this community now.”

Your generous donation, no matter the size, will directly help people like Hayley, who had little, to no, information and guidance at the beginning of their RA journey – scared that life would never be the same again.
