Wolverhampton Rheumatology Support Group (WRSG) (non-NRAS Group)

The WRSG is a local charity who supports the residents of Wolverhampton and surrounding districts who have Arthritis. The WRSG was founded in 1994 and has continued to grow in membership to the current membership of 160 members. Dr Paul Newton (Consultant Rheumatologist) is our president and Dr Josh Dixey (Consultant Rheumatologist) is our vice president. The WRSG have close links with Health, Social and Voluntary Services in Wolverhampton.

The WRSG offer support to our members via a telephone help line, buddy support, Challenging Arthritis Courses/Expert Patient Programmes and monthly information sessions to inform and  assist members in managing their Arthritis more effectively.

We meet on the first Monday of every month for a coffee/information session (bank holidays excepted).

In addition to the educational forums we are also a very social group with holidays, outings and other activities such as Tai Chi, gentle exercise, and fashion shows.
