Recycling

Recycling is a simple way to raise extra funds for NRAS, and a great way to get your school, workplace or local community group involved too!

Printer cartridges

Recycle4Charity Main Logo

If you have previously received envelopes from us for printer cartridges, please note they can no longer be used. However, they can be sent to our recycling partner FREEPOST by using your own packaging and requesting a new label here.

Alternatively, if you work for a company that uses a lot of printer cartridges, why not order a free postage box and collect with your colleagues. You can see what cartridges are accepted and order your box here: recycle4charity.co.uk

Jewellery and foreign currency

We can provide self-pack envelopes for:

  • Any jewellery – gold, silver, costume jewellery, watches, broken and damaged items (like odd earrings, snapped chains or items with missing stones).
  • Any unwanted banknotes – old and new, UK and foreign banknotes

Please contact the fundraising team on fundraising@nras.org.uk for a self-pack envelope.

Your car

Giveacar - Banner

Do you own a vehicle that you want to sell or get rid of? Then please donate it to us through Giveacar!

What is Giveacar?

Giveacar is a non-profit fundraising organisation that raises money for UK charities by scrapping and selling old cars. Any car that is donated will either be sold in a salvage auction for its salvage value or disposed of at an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF). Our salvage partner guarantees a return for every car we give them – regardless of condition!

They provide a free nationwide service which:

  • Arranges collection of the vehicle from your home
  • Depending on its age and condition, recycles it at an Authorised Treatment Facility or sends it to auction.

To arrange collection of a car, visit Give A Car’s website or call 0207 736 4242, quoting  NRAS as your chosen charity.
