Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for Fundraising Skydives with the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) at Sky-High Skydiving and Skydive Netheravon

  1. Booking and Deposits

A non-refundable deposit of £70 is required to confirm your booking. Name changes may incur an admin fee of £50 with last minute cancellations costing full price.

  1. Fundraising Commitment
  • Minimum Sponsorship: Participants are encouraged to raise a minimum sponsorship amount of £450 by at least 10 working days prior to your scheduled jump date. Failure to raise the full sponsorship balance on time may result in the forfeiture of your reserved date.
  • Submission of Funds: All funds raised should be submitted to NRAS within two weeks post-jump.
  1. Age and Health Restrictions
  • Age: Participants must be at least 16 years old. Those under 18 require written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
  • Health: All participants must complete a medical declaration form. If you have any medical conditions or are over a certain age, a doctor’s certificate may be required to confirm fitness to skydive.
  • Weight: Weight restrictions are in place for safety reasons. If you are over 94Kg (14.8 stone) for women and 98Kg (15.4 stone) for men please email fundraising@nras.org.uk to check suitability.

All participants will be asked to complete a medical form. If you have any of the medical conditions listed, you will need your doctor’s approval by asking them to complete an additional form.

  1. Weather Conditions

Skydiving is highly dependent on suitable weather conditions.

If weather conditions prevent the jump from taking place, jumps may be rescheduled at no additional cost. Participants should be prepared for potential delays or changes to their scheduled jump date.

  1. Refunds and Cancellations

Deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations 6should be communicated as early as possible to avoid additional charges. Cancellations made less than 10 days before the jump date may result in the loss of the full payment.

  1. Arrival and Training
  • Arrival Time: Participants are required to arrive at the designated time to complete necessary paperwork and attend mandatory training sessions. Late arrivals may forfeit their jump without a refund.
  • Training: All participants must attend a pre-jump briefing and training session conducted by certified instructors. Failure to attend the full session may result in disqualification from the jump.
  1. Attire and Equipment
  • Attire: Wear comfortable clothing and secure footwear. Open-toed shoes, sandals, high heels and boots with hooks are not permitted.
  • Equipment: All necessary skydiving equipment will be provided.
  1. Media Packages
  • Photography and Video: Media packages are available for purchase to document your experience. Booking in advance by emailing fundraising@nras.org.uk is recommended to ensure availability.
  1. Conduct and Safety
  • Compliance: Participants must adhere to all instructions and safety guidelines provided by the instructors and staff.
  • Substance Use: Consumption of alcohol or drugs before the jump is strictly prohibited. Anyone suspected of being under the influence will be disqualified without a refund.
  1. Liability
  • Acknowledgment of Risk: Skydiving carries inherent risks. Participants will be required to sign a waiver acknowledging these risks and releasing the skydiving center, its staff, and NRAS from liability. Third party insurance is provided by British Skydiving but NRAS strongly suggests that participants take out their own personal skydiving insurance.
  1. Amendments
  • Policy Changes: NRAS reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. Participants will be notified of any changes prior to their jump.

By booking a fundraising skydive with NRAS at either Sky-High Skydiving or Skydive Netheravon, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions. Additional terms and conditions may be issued by the individual skydiving centres.

Should you have any queries about the above, please email fundrasing@nras.org.uk.
